Steam flexible hoses are essential in industrial settings—you’ve likely seen them in use. They serve widely in chemical processing, machinery, petroleum, and many other fields. You may be familiar with steam rubber hoses, but there are actually several types available. Now, let’s explore some common kinds of steam tubing.

Types of Steam Flexible Hoses

Cloth Lined Hose

This rubber hose works best for steam or hot water up to 150℃. Its rubber layer offers excellent heat resistance. What’s more, its burst pressure is at least 10 times its working pressure. This makes cloth lined steam hoses ideal for applications that require a certain level of pressure.

Armored Cloth Steam Flexible Hose

This hose is similar to the cloth lined type but adds a metal spiral on the outside. This extra layer makes it much stronger than standard cloth lined hoses. In fact, it has far better pressure resistance. It’s perfect for complex working conditions where safety standards are high.

PTFE Hose

PTFE hoses are widely used in electronics, aerospace, petroleum, textiles, and other industries. They have smooth, impurity-free surfaces and strong chemical stability—resisting corrosion and aging effectively. Plus, they can be shaped into forms like O-type or S-type to fit specific needs.

Stainless Steel Metal Hose

Stainless steel metal hoses resist both corrosion and high temperatures. While most rubber hoses max out at 230℃ steam, stainless steel pipes can handle up to 600℃. They’re also lightweight and flexible, yet capable of bearing much higher pressure.
