Prevention of leakage at pipe joints In the hydraulic system, whether it is a metal pipe joint or a hose joint, there is a problem of easy leakage.

1. For the ferrule type pipe joints, most of the pipes are subjected to a large external force or impact force, which causes the ferrules to become loose or the end faces of the pipes are deformed to cause leakage. Whether the end is in good condition and the compression degree of the ferrule nut, etc., and also eliminate the external force of the pipeline.

2. For flared pipe joints, mostly due to excessive flaring, unsatisfactory quality or repeated disassembly, resulting in leakage of flaring deformation or cracks, the front end can be cut off and reflaring. If the male and female cone top pressure is used for sealing, the leakage is mostly due to the damage of the two cone surfaces, and the cone surfaces can be ground with grinding sand.

2. In some occasions where the “о” ring is used to seal against the end face or the outer diameter, the leakage causes are as follows: “о” ring is aging or deformed to cause leakage; When the plane is connected, the pressure is uneven or the “о” ring is cut to cause leakage; the “о” ring is not compacted, and the amount of elastic deformation is insufficient, resulting in leakage; the “о” ring groove is too deep to cause leakage.

In this regard, it is necessary to re-select the “о” ring with the same outer diameter and thicker section, or the sealing plane with the spigot can be cut or ground to reduce the depth of the spigot and make the “о” The ring has sufficient elastic deformation (compression should generally be between 0.35-0.65mm).

3. For the leakage at the pipe joint using oil-resistant rubber sheet, wool felt, mild steel cardboard, combined sealing gasket or sealant, no matter what the material is, first check whether the seal is damaged, deformed, aged and rough. and so on, and then take appropriate measures.
