1. Check Pressure Resistance for Target Use​

PVC fibre hose is used in many scenarios, like gardening, car washing, or industrial water transfer. First, you need to match its pressure rating to your needs. Low-pressure PVC fibre hoses work well for home gardening, as they handle gentle water flow. But for industrial tasks, choose a high-pressure PVC fibre hose—look for ratings like 10 bar or above. If the hose can’t stand the required pressure, it may burst easily, causing leaks or safety risks.​

2. Evaluate Material Thickness and Fibre Layer​

The quality of PVC fibre hose depends on its material. Check the PVC layer first; it should be thick enough to resist wear and tear. Then, look at the inner fibre layer which is usually made of polyester or nylon. A dense fibre layer boosts the hose’s strength and prevents kinking. For example, a PVC fibre hose with a 2-ply fibre layer is more durable than a single-ply one. Avoid thin, low-quality hoses, as they break quickly and need frequent replacement.​

3. Confirm Size and Connection Compatibility​

PVC fibre hoses come in different diameters, from ½ inch to 2 inches or more. Pick the right size based on your use: a small diameter suits home watering, while a larger one works for heavy-duty tasks. Also, check the hose’s connections. Ensure they fit your faucets, nozzles, or pumps tightly. Mismatched connections cause water leaks, wasting water and reducing the hose’s efficiency.​
