The spiral protector is a rubber pipe outer protection product. It’s made from PP or nylon through specific processing. Since it’s usually spiral-shaped, it’s also called a spiral hose protective sleeve. Plastic spiral guards are widely used. They protect rubber hoses, wires, and cables in various places.

Method 1: Start from the middle and rotate towards both ends

First, wind the middle part of the hose around the middle of the winding tube. Then, start from this wound middle part and wind toward one end of the hose.

Once you’ve wound one end of the hose, position the spiral protective sleeve at the hose joint. After that, reverse the spiral winding tube and loosen it. Now you can move it freely. Next, start rotating from the wound middle part toward the other end.

Finally, wrap both ends of the spiral protective sleeve around the outside of the hose. This completes the installation.

Method 2: Start from one end and rotate towards the other end

First, rotate one end of the hose around one end of the spiral protective sleeve. Then, position it firmly. After that, begin rotating toward the other end. Keep going until the protective sleeve completely wraps around the outside of the hose.

Rubber pipe spiral sheaths have made great contributions to national development. Today, they’re widely used in construction machinery like loaders, excavators, road rollers, and cranes. They’re installed outside hydraulic hoses, wires, cables, and other products.

Their main functions are to enhance the wear resistance, antistatic properties, and UV resistance of internal products. They also provide safety protection for these internal products in various harsh environments. What’s more, they improve appearance and binding effects. They can even extend the service life of internal products by more than 3 years.
