Do you take care of the rubber hose regularly when you use it? If not, you should start now. When we use the hose, we need to clean and maintain it regularly. Below, Orientflex tells you how to do it.
Step 1, Cleaning
No matter what material the hose assembly is made of, it should be blown clean with clean compressed air without impurities. If the pipe is compatible with oil, you should flush the assembly with mineral spirits. Otherwise, use hot water not exceeding +150°F to clean it.

Step 2, Maintenance
When using the rubber hose, it should be inspected and maintained frequently. For example: Check the rubber hose assembly frequently for oil leakage, bending, wear, corrosion or any other signs of damage. If the high temperature resistant rubber hose assembly is worn or damaged, we should replace it immediately.
Step 3, Acceptance Test
How to test? We should use twice the working pressure of the recommended wear-resistant rubber hose to test the hose assembly hydraulically. The pressure during the test should be maintained for no more than one minute but not less than 30 seconds. When the test pressure is reached, we need to visually inspect the hose assembly: ① whether there is any leakage or performance degradation; ② whether the hose joint has moved relative to the hose. Any such defects may result in product failure.
